Description: A highly detailed and accurate map of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It happened in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963, in the place shown here: Dealey Plaza. Using the numerous films and photographs taken by people who were there at JFK's final motorcade, the trajectories of the bullets which struck him are shown, along with dozens of eyewitnesses who have been identified over the years. In fact, a new identification has already been made in 2021. The motorcade participants are listed by the cars in which they were riding. The most famous film of the assassination is Abraham Zapruder's Super 8: his and the three other movies which caught the effects of the terrible head shot were used to determine the exact relative positions of the late President and his murderer. Second in fame only to Zapruder's film is the still made by Associated Press photographer James Altgens which clearly showed the President after he had been nonfatally wounded. That picture went out over the "wire" less than thirty minutes after the President had been killed. The people with cameras are differentiated from other onlookers by special symbols, which means the map can be used by anyone to determine specific objects or persons seen in the still and motion pictures. While a specific shooting scenario is shown, researchers can project their own speculations or conclusions into this historic space. Identified by name, the photographers' pictures can be found all over the internet. This copyrighted work is based on a survey which the FBI commissioned for their investigation into the assassination. A large copy of the resulting exhibit was acquired by me, from the National Archives, in the 1970s. The map has been continually updated as various government efforts, and those of innumerable private individuals, have been made to resolve the lingering doubts. You will receive, in a cardboard mailing tube, an approximately 2' x 3' black-and-white print of a jpeg file. Note that the map is updated by me whenever appropriate, so that some details on your copy may vary from those posted in this listing.
