HIS WARES ARE HIGHLY REGARDED AND AVIDLY COLLECTED. MANCALA IS THE GENERIC NAME FOR A 2-PLAYER COUNT & CAPTURE GAME THAT REQUIRES PLANNING & STRATEGY. VERSIONS OF THE GAME DATE BACK TO THE 3rd CENTURY AND MAY HAVE EXISTED IN ANCIENT EGYPT. THE WORD MANCALA COMES FROM THE ARABIC ROOT N-Q-L WHICH MEANS MOVEMENT OR TRANSFER. THE PLAYING PIECES CAN BE NATURAL STONES, GLASS STONES, MARBLES, BUTTONS, SEASHELLS OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF. JUST STORE THEM WITH THE BOARD IN A CLEAN LEATHER/SUEDE BAG. I took the liberty of using a tiny amount of Old English scratch cover which blends scratches right into the wood colors. I couldn’t conceal the few small shallow indents which are barely noticeable. The bottom of the board had table protectors that are long gone. I removed the residual adhesive from the 4 corners. I have brown pads on hand so I can replace them for you if requested. ●●●I hope I have not overlooked anything.
