Description: This Danish cross stitch pattern sampler book is a 1962 re-printing of the 1961 "Cross-stitch Diary" that sold out very fast. It is referred to as the "birthday-calendar". Small size - 6 x 6 inches plus spiral binding. Book is in good condition, minus some yellowing and discoloration of mostly the front pages. There are no tears or writing in booklet. Written entirely in English by the Danish Handcraft Guild. Theme is a calendar of samplers invoking the samplers of old. They were used to help teach young girls in the art of sewing. In Danish they are called "name cloths". No embroidery threads are included.
