Description: This brooch is inspired by the Irish guards regiment royal shamrock brooch. Our version features green shamrock leaves, with a green Cubic Zirconia in the centre. It is crafted from Gold tone metal. The provenance of the original brooch has never been confirmed , but it is believed that the piece was crafted by Cartier and then presented to Princess Mary, the Princess Royal, by the regiment in 1961. When Princess Mary died, the brooch was purchased by the regiment at an auction of her personal jewelry. Ever since it has been loaned out to the royal lady most associated with the Irish Guards This includes the Queen Mother and Princess Anne. Since 2012 Princess Catherine has worn the brooch each time she has presented shamrocks to the regiment on St. Patrick's Day. All brooch pins come in a box tied with a a ribbon.
