Description: Having collected a lot of Bob Carver audio gear over the years the Original Amazings are one of his best efforts. He spent years developing a dipole finite baffle speaker and the R&D costs were very high on this project. I have owned these speakers for over 20 years and got them from the original owner. The bottom honeycomb discs on each speaker had been creased by his grandson. My tech disassembled the woofers and smoothed the discs out as best he could and they perform to specifiations. He also inspected the ribbons and reglued the panels. These speakers were powered by a number of amplifiers including Proton, Carver, and Onkyo M in a 30' X 40' listening area. They are a 4 OHM speaker that require some power not a joke in my opinion 150 WPC is the minimum, others will disagree. They are very sensitive to placement and will perform different accordingly. Listening area size is not as critical as placement although with the size of these speakers you need some space. Carver Amazings tend to get parted out as this is a more profitable way to sell and a much more easy way to ship. We do not part out working speakers if at all possible and these speakers represent some historic significance. Cosmetically they are in good condition with scratches and blemishes. They have been stored since 2016 and are PICK UP OR PERSONAL DELIVERY ONLY. Vintage audio equipment is sold as is with no warranties or returns. Any issues or problems with any equipment will be clearly described in the listing. Study the photos to evaluate the cosmetic condition of equipment. Contact me with any issues regarding performance, shipping damage, etc. before a case is opened through ebay. All packages will be insured and packed for safe delivery. Local pick up is encouraged and personal delivery or meeting in a mutually arranged location is possible when schedule permits.
