During the mid-20th century, Buda engines were used in a number of vehicles and farm tractors, as well as the Buda railroad cars. Cockshutt used Buda engines in their 30, 40, and 50 tractors. But in 1953, Allis Chalmers, another farm tractor maker that had been using Buda engines, bought the Buda Engine Co., forcing an eventual end to the use of Buda engines by Cockshutt. This is a reprint of a Buda engine manual that might have been used in these applications.
