Description: This kit is our most comprehensive one yet and contains pretty much everything you need to rebuild a Breville Dual boiler BES900 or BES920. Most of what’s in here could also work on the Oracles (BES980 and BES990), but this is more for the 900 and 920. Unless your machine has a dead boiler element, faulty control board or something else that requires parts replacement, this kit should bring your machine back to life. It has all the seals you need to cover all potential hot-side leaks as well as a full triac board repair kit AND rebuild kits for both boilers! Here’s what’s included: Boiler & Hydraulic seal kit: - 5 x boiler probe seals - 12 x hot-side hydraulic seals (you may not use all these if you have a newer BES920 with compression fittings)- 4 x inner probe shaft seals (1 spare) - Note: To install these, you'll need to remove the probe, carefully remove the E-clip at the top, slide the white sheath up and remove the old seal before carefully sliding the new Oring up from the bottom of the probe and into place. You'll may need to nudge the O-ring all around underneath the white sheath with something blunt. Once it's under there, you can slide the sheath back down, hold it in place and replace the E-clip to lock it all into place. - 3 x probe shaft retainer clips Steam Valve Rebuild Kit: - 2 x PTFE inner seals. Note: After installation the lever will feel tough. Don’t worry, this is normal. It will soften nicely after you use it and the seals form around the ball valve.- 3 x connecting hydraulic seals for the connecting elbow and steam arm seals- 1 x HNBR valve actuator seal Steam Boiler Anti-vac Seal Kit: The anti-vac valve on the steam boiler is very often overlooked and we've seen MANY of these machines with leaks here. The seal around the plunger goes brittle over time and this allows pressure to vent from your steam boiler, which makes it have to kick the element on again to top it up more frequently. If the leak gets bad enough, it can lead to much more scale build-up in your steam boiler due to it heating more often than it should. More scale = more chance of compromising the boiler element which = a boiler replacement which is very expensive! If you already have the machine open, you might as well use an 18mm spanner/socket to remove the anti-vac, give it a quick bath in descale solution and replace the seals. - 1 x silicone seal for the anti-vac plunger- 1 x silicone seal for the anti-vac housing nut Drain Valve Seals (for BES920 and up): - 2 x needle valve seals for the tips of the drain valves that seal the openings. These are where the leaks usually come from. I have never seen the larger O-ring on these valves die…yet (the green one in the pic) so I haven’t included those- 4 x seals for the boiler drain fittings and connections to the drain valves Solenoid Seal Kit: Often times, flow restrictions to the group head are caused by the vent pins in the solenoid block being corroded or blocked. Using O-rings here is not a good idea as they disintegrate over time and can break off and block the ports. We’ve seen this many times, that’s why we make these PTFE seals and pins. This kit should help with that and can also help alleviate some of the gurgling noises that some machines tend to get, which is usually caused by air ingress at the solenoid. - 2 x PTFE solenoid gaskets- 2 x brass vent pins (Refer to the last photo in this listing for fitting instructions). ULKA EP5 & EX5 pump seal kit: If your machine is younger than 6yrs old and you've noticed a drop in brew pressure or a stall in the pre-infusion phase, this kit should help. It should also help to quiet down the pump as they do get louder as the seals age. If your machine is older than 6yrs however, we highly recommend that you install a new pump. We've found from plenty of experience that the coils that drive the piston in these pumps tend to fail over time as like most things. A seal kit may help, but it's usually just a band-aid solution at that point.Please check the manufacture date of your pump. If the manufacture date is older than 2018, then there is a chance that it could have a slightly bigger piston seal (the small EPDM seal), so this kit may not be effective. - 1 x Delrin ball (one-way valve)- 1 x EPDM piston seal- 3 x NBR outer seals Slayer Mod Kit: The "Slayer Mod" on Breville coffee machines is a mod that sacrifices the hot water tap to allow for some flow control and shot profiling. The name comes from the Slayer coffee machines developed in Seattle, USA, that allow for flow/pressure profiling. Aside from re-routing some of the hydraulics, the water tap needs to be blocked off in order for this mod to work. This kit will cover what you need for this mod and a little more, because we want you to have fun! If you're more into espresso and milk coffees, then this mod may be for you and you'll need these seals. If you prefer black coffees like long blacks that need hot water, then this mod may not be for you unless you're happy to use a kettle for the hot water component. - 3 x custom cut silicone hot water tap seals (if you have the newer 920 with the plastic insert on the hot water tap, use the middle sized seal only and install it just behind the 4 water holes when you unscrew the metal cap). - 2 x HNBR water valve seals- 8 x Silicone hydraulic hose seals Boiler Rebuild Kit: This kit includes everything you need to resurrect both boilers in 9 series Breville Dual Boiler machines (BES900 – BES990) so long as no dead elements or punctured boilers are involved. We’ve used plenty of our own experience as well as feedback from other repair techs to help us put this kit together. If you’re removing the steam boiler from one of these machines, then you may as well go the extra mile for your customers and replace these components while you’re at it to help future proof your job. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way during a good service. - 1 x 152C steam boiler thermostat- 1 x 125C coffee boiler thermostat- 1 pack of GD100 thermal paste for mounting the thermostats. - 1 x 167C steam boiler thermal fuse - 1 x 144C coffee boiler thermal fuse (the OEM is 133C – the additional 11C won’t harm anything but we will have the 133C shortly).- 4 x insulated, marine grade, hot glue lined spade connectors. You can heat these lightly once installed and the glue inside will seal the terminals to help prevent future corrosion if a steam leak ever develops.- 4 x copper sleeve crimps for the thermal fuses to wire connections.- 4 x heatshrink tubes to go over the copper sleeves once crimped. Be careful when heating these as you can pop the thermal fuse while doing so. These are optional to use!- 2 x fiberglass-silicone insulative sheaths thermal fuse sheaths. Triac Board Service Kit: Our kit includes everything you need to replace the failed parts, and then some. The electronic components we use are manufactured by very reputable companies and have excellent longevity and performance: - 2 x Q6015L5 triacs by Littlefuse (for the steam and coffee boilers)- 1 x BTA06T triac by STMicroelectrics (for the portafilter warmer)- 3 x MOC3063 Optocouplers by LiteOn- 1 x GD100 0.5g sachet of thermal paste- 1 x 30cm length of custom solder - This solder is custom manufactured to the specific specs of a family member in the electronics industry. 0.6mm diameter with aggressive no-clean flux which makes it flow brilliantly. Those of you who are electronics enthusiasts will love this stuff! 1 x Silicone group seal 1 x food-grade silicone O-ring grease Cable ties & wire terminal crimps All the electronics in our kits (triacs, optocouplers, thermostats & thermal fuses) are CCC, HSF, RoHS and RU certified.
