The battery box includes both vented and non-vented options to suit various installation environments. Constructed from durable polypropylene, it offers total acid resistance and includes hold-down straps that resist 350 pounds of force, nearly four times the U.S. Coast Guard requirement. The battery box is rigorously drop-tested in temperatures ranging from -20°F to +120°F, ensuring reliability in a range of climates. Note: Mounting hardware is included, except for white models. The 9069 cover is non-vented and not suitable for marine use. These battery boxes meet ABYC standard E-10 and U.S. Coast Guard specification number 183.420 as an OEM-installed battery hold-down system.
