Description: Antique Sterling Silver Sewing Etui Needle work 4 Piece Set In Original Box Rococo Design Scissors Thimble Needle Case This antique sewing etui comes in the original box, which is lined with beige velvet. The set comprises of scissors, alw, needle case and thimble. All pieces are original and match each other. The set dates to the 1800s and has a rococo design on all implements. The lid of the box is marked Armes et Cycles de Saint Etienne. Each piece is marked with the boar's head, which is a French assay mark for sterling silver items. The case is clad in died leather which is a nice touch. The needle case measures 3", the thimble is 2.5cm 1", the scissors is 3.74" and the awl is 3.4" approximately. This is an antique and it may show signs of age or use consistent with this. There is general wear and tear to the outer box due to age, this is normal patina.
