They were purchased by my grandmother and have been in my family since.The spoons and tongs were used many times. They are still in excellent condition with no dents and no scratches. The silver plate is bright and shiny. These items look new.Picture 3 - The spoons have a Gadroon style design. The sugar tongs have a Louis XVI ribbon style design. They do not match. All I know is that they have always been in the same box set. Picture 6 - The hallmarks on the spoons consist of the Crown, the Lion, the lower-case Gothic letter X and the flag with the initials W & H.Picture 8 - The hallmarks on the sugar tongs consist of 5 shields with the initials H B & H EP H B & H for Harrison Brothers & Howson. EP for Electroplate.Unfortunately, the box is in very poor condition and falling apart. The lid has separated from the box. The whole thing is kept together with scotch tape. The green velvet shows wear and the white satin lining the lid has faded and is stained through the action of time.
