Description: From an estate sale: this is a handmade antique beaded trim piece. It probably dates to the 1920s with its dramatic flapper look, but it could be older. This has a fabric-backed top piece made of two triangular pieces joined at the bottom, which is about 2" long. The front is covered with beads in two shapes, faceted circles and long bugle beads, with a large hemisphere in the center. This is joined to 9 separate strands of small black beads which hang about 3" long and connect to a series of 4 beaded spheres in decreasing sizes. The total length is about 9" long - stunning! I suspect that this might be one of a pair of shoulder decorations - if so, its partner is lost. This can be used in so many ways: just attach it to a chain or ribbon and you have a fabulous necklace. The beads are shiny and gorgeous.
