Description: Antique D C Limoges Yellow Coral Roses Plate Artist Signed 12.5" Stunning Finley painted yellow and coral roses, which also includes rose buds. This beautiful plate is scalloped. The edge is painted with and highlighted subtly with gold accents. You can see the details of the painted roses as you hold it plate towards the light. The background is a blend having hues of blue, yellow and, purple, with areas of the white porcelain peeking through like clouds. One can almost be transported to a garden filled with rose bushes, on a sunset summer afternoon. This decorative 100+ year-old plate would make a beautiful addition and a focal point in any room within your elegant home. Plate measures 12.5" in diameter. There is slight loss of paint on parts of the edges and a tiny chip (last pic). Please see all pictures, as they are part of my description. The back has an incise which could be part of the manufacturing of the plate or an incised number, 1. The green lettering reads D&C France which identifies this plate to be from Circa 1850s-1899.
