Description: ‘86 Schwinn Cimarron MTB CrMo Steel Fillet Brazed Frame & Unicrown Lugged Fork CONDITION: I’ve provided a good amount of pics showing the condition of the frame & paint. It has many scuffs/chips/discoloration etc. It’s definitely worth a repaint. It’s surprisingly extremely light for VTG MTB bike of that era. For a 20” frame, it has an abnormally long wheelbase(42.5”), greater than most VTG touring bikes. It’s one of the first measurements I make because how it affects stability/comfort of the ride and I can’t remember another VTG MTB bike with a longer wheelbase. There’s a lot to love about this frame & the quality of the ride. Also, it’s one of the stranger/unique bikes of that era. You’ll rarely see a fillet brazed frame paired with a lugged unicrown fork.
