Personally this fly is a great fly to throw to any fish that is striking on baitfish. That includes trout, snook, tarpon, bluefish, redfish, stripper, and albies. As a saltwater fisherman I throw these to docks, jetties and in open water with or without sighting fish. Over all a very diverse and effective pattern that will work in a vast array of setting including freshwater for largemouth bass! Comprised of a size 2/0 barbed hook, red dumbbell lead eyes, white waxed thread, chartreuse hackle, chartreuse craft fur, and white crafter fur with pearlescent flash.
