Description: This is Tom Brady’s 2000 Bowman Rookie but this is a VERY RARE Promo Variation · This is one of Brady’s rarest cards · Only 250 of these were made · Many of the 250 made were thrown away · Only 32 have been graded by PSA · There are only 17 PSA 10’s In 2000 Topps held a promotion with their 2000 Bowman Football cards. They made special insert redemption cards of 75 different rookies. The cards looked just like the base cards but had a gold foil stamp on the front. Those cards were then inserted 1 in every 76 packs. If you pulled one, you would then wait. ONLY if that player won the NFL’s Rookie of the Year award, could you then send it in to Topps for the redemption. If the player featured on your card did not win ROY, then the redemption card was basically worthless. At the time, Tom Brady wasn’t even playing and had zero chance of winning Rookie of the Year. So, a lot of the Brady redemptions were just thrown away. I believe there to be less than 150 of these cards in circulation. You can see the rarity of this card when you compare it to the regular 2000 Bowman RC. According to the PSA website Population Report – there are 459 10’s of the regular Bowman while there are only 17 PSA 10’s of this card.
