Description: A 19c French onyx/brass 4 glass clock dating to C1890. The 8 day movement striking the half and full hours on a gong in good working order. The silvered dial with engine turned engraved centre and roman numerals. A rather nice and unusual pendulum with gridiron compensation. All glass is bevelled and case contrasts well with the brass against the onyx. Measures 12 inches high[30cm] x 7 ins wide[18cm] x 5.5 ins deep[14cm]. In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use but as the photo's show its in good order. A heavy clock and comes with its double ended winding key.
