Description: Here is a 1998-99 Upper Deck Ovation Future Forces Kobe Bryant, 2nd year rookie, autographed trading card featuring a hard-signed, on card signature by Kobe Bryant. This card is a super short print with an embossed design and silver foil parallel variety, making it an exclusive insert in the set. It is made of card stock and showcases Bryant as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. The card is an original release by Upper Deck and is part of the popular Ovation set from 1998. I was lucky enough to find this amazing card in an abandoned storage unit auction that I purchased back in September 2024. Although there was no documentation or information pertaining to the authenticity of the signature, I myself believe it to be genuine. I viewed dozens of Kobe’s autographed items sold or listed on eBay, and many others available online, and I can’t find any evidence that would make me think this autograph is anything but authentic. His signature had changed throughout his career, and sometimes he would only sign “Kobe” with his jersey number, but in all the examples that he signed his full name, it looked identical to the signature on this card. Just to be safe, I would recommend getting the signature authenticated and get the card slabbed up by PSA or Beckett. Not only will it provide protection, but it will add to the cards overall value, and offer peace of mind for you.
