Description: [NASA, USAF, SPACE SHUTTLE PROGRAM] On offer here is a rare and interesting NASA employee photo entitled 'THE ORIGINAL CAST' showing 10 men (most appear to be Air Force officers) who were the FIRST SPACE SHUTTLE FLIGHT CONTROL TEAM. The photo in frame, measures 20.5 in x 24.25 in and is in excellent condition. The photo of the Space Shuttle floating in orbit over Earth has beneath it the photos of the 10 individuals who have then hand signed in ink around the mat of the photo. Provenance:This item is from the estate of Lt. Col. John B. Hungerford USAF. A group of materials related to Col. Hungerford was sold in a storage unit auction several months ago and this item was among the effects. Col. Hungerford was on the first Space Shuttle Flight Control crew, was a staff member of the Rogers Commission which investigated the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster and later was a lead officer in the Titan rocket program.
