Description: 1965 SCHWINN RACER DELUXE MENS 3-SPEED BIKE COLLEGIATE SPEEDSTER TRAVELER BREEZE Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original May 1965 VINTAGE (serial number is EA) mens Schwinn Deluxe Racer 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing Flamboyant Red colored factory paint. This is a nice looking color and it looks cool on this bike! If you like cool original USA made bikes, this may be a great bike for you.With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool original mens frame and forks with original paint and decals, original screen chainguard, original Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full chrome fenders, Schwinn pedals, and more! I believe this bike to be mostly all original parts from when it was new. (see pics and be your own judge) BEST PART... Check out the super unusual "Haacks Mr Bicycle" head badge! (this was a Schwinn shop in Madison, WI!) You rarely see these and they are super cool! *The tires are 26x1 3/8". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S5 rims front and rear. *The bike is an original 3-SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well (may need fine tuning adjustment or possible cable replacement. Shift cable has some old black tape near the shift lever but it is operable. *DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 29". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It has been in long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again. I love the fact that this bike still wears its original paint. (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Front wheel is missing a spoke. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
