Description: Charming Children's Book authored by Alice Crew Gall and Fleming Crew, BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED BY W. LANGDON KIHN. First Edition, published by Oxford University Press in 1935. Lacking dust jacket if issued with one, but otherwise in VERY GOOD CONDITION. Green cloth boards with black decoration and spine titling, browned spine with exposure. Boards with moderate corner and top/bottom spine wear, light edge wear. Unsplit and unmarked pictorial endpapers. A previous owner inked a From.. to.. note and occasion - Christmas 1935 - on half title page. 126 solidly bound pages, an occasional soil/foxing mark, B&W within text illustration and 6 color plates in addition to the frontispiece - 2 shown in listing photos as examples. The book has a slight lean to the right. It will be stored and shipped tightly wrapped in shrink in a straightened position - this should help with the lean. This is the story of a beaver during the second and most interesting year of his life. He and his family leave their old home after a forest fire and follow along rivers and streams until they find a good location for a new dam and a new beaver colony. MORA B80
