I've had it for years, but I'm trying to downsize my massive collection. This darling ensemble comes with penciled hand-written provenance which reads: "Mary -- Child's dress & rabbit apron made by me in Clothing II, Spring 1929." The outfit is made of a medium weight pink gingham with pink bias tape. The young lady did a wonderful job -- as it is evident she was quite the little seamstress! All seams were neatly finished. The bunny apron is the crowning feature of this garment. It matches the little dress and is completely outlined in a black blanket stitch, along with neat embroidery. Even the buttonholes were made by hand! The sash criss-crosses in the back and buttons on each shoulder. I can only imagine how much fun she had making it and the ooohs and aaahs she received when the garment was completed. I would estimate the dress would fit a two or three year old. Lying flat, the dress measures approximately 16" from neck to hem, armpit to armpit, 13". The apron from tip of rabbit ear to hem measures approximately 24". From one bunny elbow to the opposite elbow, nearly 12". No holes, rips, tears or repairs. No odors. Just as cute as can be and it looks fabulous on display! Hanger not included.
