Description: 1861 S Seated Liberty Half Dollar in About Fine/Very Fine condition with nice toning & contrasts. The obverse has a little roughness noticed under magnification & the reverse is especially nice. The reverse's die was in a late Die State as several Cuds & Cracks are noticed especially on the lower part & edge of the Eagle's Left Wing. This coin has the Large "S" Mintmark & has a lower mintage of 939,500 & about 550 survivors making this date a R-2 for all varieties. A very attractive slightly scarcer coin from the San Francisco Mint.
