Spine has been repaired with black tape, but the portion of the original spine with gilt title has been preserved and glued on. The cloth on the preserved piece is torn and coming loose in three places. Corners are bumped with shelf wear along all edges of the boards. Both boards are rubbed and stained. Previous owner signature on front free end paper and front paste down. Foxing throughout, although page quality is still good. Three torn pages (see pics). This book is from the Estate of Joseph A. Sadony. His library stamp is embossed on the title page and his book plate is on the front paste down. Joseph Sadony is someone you should Google. He was a Friend of Teddy Roosevelt, Admiral Byrd, many Hollywood stars, Einstein, Ghandi and many others including royalty. He was psychic advisor to Chicago Police and wrote among other things "Gates of the Mind, the Proven Psychic Discoveries of Joseph Sadony". Joseph died in 1960 at 83 years of age and many of the books we are listing are from the 30,000 that were left in his estate.
