This nearly uncirculated half dime is from the estate of a Texas collector who purchased many coins from a Virginia mail order company that is widely known for the unfortunate practice of chemically dipping AU and XF coins. Although cleaned, it has not been treated harshly or abraded (i.e. not hairlined).
