Description: Went to an auction and bought a cigar box full of old straight razors. Kind of bought it without looking through box and was pleasantly surprised at what I found when I got home. This razor being one of the best I found. Marked on the tang is THE IXL IMPROVED SWISS MANUFACTURED SOLELY BY GEORGE WOSTENHOLM & SONS. Very old Frameback that measures 6/8 including frame and blade. Blade only without measuring frame is 4/8. Has a Barbers Point and looks to be a Horn or Wood Scale. Not quite sure. You can be the judge. Looks like brass pins. On top of scale above the pin there is part of the scale missing. I will show in the pictures. Does not effect movement of the blade. Also one of the owners carved his initials on one side of the scale. I will show in the pictures. This razor is probably about 150 or more years old so not to bad. Again selling them as I found them so please look at all pictures before purchasing.
