Description: THIS AUCTION IS FOR A PAIR OF NEWSPAPERS OBTAINED STRAIGHT FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES THAT REFLECTS DECEMBER 31, 1999, WITH A FRONT PAGE ARTICLE ON GEORGE HARRISON BEING STABBED BY AN INTRUDER, AND JANUARY 1, 2000, WHICH MENTIONS THAT COMPUTERS HAVE SURVIVED SO FAR AND THAT VLADIMIR PUTIN HAD JUST TAKEN OVER AFTER THE RESIGNATION OF BORIS YELTSIN ON TOP PANEL OF FRONT PAGE. AS I HAD TWO OF THESE, I HAD TO OPEN ONE BOX TO VERIFY THE CONTENTS. I did not remove the papers from the heavy plastic bags with flip open Velcro tabs *****THE PURCHASER WHO BUYS FIRST HAS ALREADY PURCHASED. ****THE SECOND BUYER WILL GET THE PIECES SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS HERE. THOUGH THE MANILLA BOX WAS OPENED TO PHOTOGRAPH THE NEWSPAPERS, THE PAPERS HAVE NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THE PLASTIC STORAGE BAGS, AND YOU WILL ALSO GET THE NEATLY OPENED MANILLA BOX . YOU WILL ALSO GET THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX BUT THAT BOX WILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL INFORMATION COVERED WITH WHITE PAPER AND TAPED EDGES WHILE YOUR LABEL WILL BE PLACED ON THE REAR. (PHOTO 7). This will be the mailing box and is included to provide you with the original shipping information and therefore provenance. The labels on front will be covered with your label on white paper or simply with white paper. It will mark the box but your label will be removable with tape. (I have to cover the prior mailing address or it will end up being shipped there.) Because these have been in the plastic bags and then kept in the dark in the manila boxes there is very limited paper toning. None of these have ever been removed from the plastic bags shown in the photos. ...AND THEY ARE THE NEW YORK TIMES. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY ONE PERSON GETS THE PACKING LIST AND ONLY ONE PERSON GETS THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX. They verify the provenance of having come straight from The New York Times and that they are not newsstand copies that were read and later put into a bag. Shipping will be 4 pounds plus in each case.
